This morning I peeked out and everything is white..!! Went out to my car and didn't know what to do but thankfully there was another guy right next to me who was scraping away. I followed his lead and turned on the car to warm it up and began scraping. Mental note: wear gloves when scraping snow off car or fingers will turn blue.

Our moving boxes for temporary housing arrived today. We have boxes all over the living room and the dining table has been relegated off to the side. Matt has set up my desk and I have somewhat of a makeshift cube where I can prairie-dog to see what Matt is doing at his desk. Currently he is chatting with his jedi game friends and I am playing Scrabulous on facebook and updating my blog. TripleX is playing in the background. How nerdy are we?
The Civic arrived today as well (it has '99' written on it in white which Matt wants me to leave for some reason). It's actually Matt's car now since he sold his Celica a few weeks ago. There were just too many problems with the Celica so he sold it and purchased the Civic from me. I'll be commuting in the Civic for gas purposes and Matt will use the Silverado when he needs to. He's applied for a local job or two so keep your fingers crossed for him!
Not only is the Boulder move a big change in our lives for us, so is living together! Matt had been living part time in the city when we were in Pacifica, so living with each other full time is brand new for us also (after 3 1/2 years it's about friggin time don't you think?). Just as I thought it would be, it's fun playing house. On Friday we applied for domestic partnership in Boulder for health insurance purposes. Big steps for Julienne and Matt.
I'm still a bit nervous because we haven't signed the lease for the farmhouse yet. I'm pretty sure it's a go but until we sign the lease papers I'll be twiddling my thumbs. Isabella seems to have settled in at the dressage barn but I met my first possibly snobby DQ (Dressage Queen) woman yesterday which I'm not too happy about. :P Oh well, just more motivation to get the property ready for her and move her as soon as we can once the time comes. Also, she is lame *again*. Will have to get the vet out once her feet get done in the next few weeks. Sucks.
We also found a nice family who will look after China over Christmastime - I asked my boss but haven't heard from her yet if she'll do it, so it's good to have a backup plan.
That's all, other than the fact that I have a huge pimple on my cheek! I thought the dryness of Colorado would get rid of that, but alas, this monstrosity shows everyone otherwise.
Tomorrow is my first day of work, and the first day a large storm rolls into the area.. our first snow storm this week!!

Arrived in Boulder today after a day drive. Thank goodness Matt came with me.. the 3 days were long, especially yesterday when we covered 540 miles from Winnemucca NV to Rock Springs WY. After a long day of driving we settled Isabella in at the Sweetwater Fairgrounds in 12 degree temperatures.. thank goodness for the new Rambo blanket.
Isabella ate the smorgashbord of food presented to her the first day but the second day she concerned me a bit by backing off quite a bit. Today she spent the day traveling off food but once we got to the fancy dressage barn her appetite was back with a vengence and left me comfortable enough to leave her in the capable eyes of the DQ's. :)
Matt and I are in temp housing now with the Chinook winds blowing outside. I'm sure they're not as bad as they could be but they are blowing pretty good!! We just realized that we are probably going to see snow while living in these apts.. wow! The reality that we've moved here is still slowly sinking in.

Last day at work, woot!!
Got our travel itinerary all set for next week's 3 day drive to Colorado. Places to overnight Isabella, hotels that will accept dogs for us, good places to eat. My friend Jini just made the trip earlier this year with her horse so she gave me TONS of good suggestions plus a list of vets along the way, saving me loads of research time (thank you Jini!).
Gotta take my drug test today then go out to Boulevard with Matt's parents tonight. I've been waiting for so long to go to Boulevard after hearing how delicious it is from Matt and his family. It struck me this morning that this may be the last time I see Matt's parents until Christmas.. very sad. :( I've gotten very comfortable with them and have really enjoyed spending time with them (and I'm not just saying that because I know they read the blog) ;)

Friggin cheap deal of the day. This is a better deal than even Costco can offer..
