Matt and I will be staying in temporary housing for 1 1/2 - 2 months until the 40 acre 2 bedroom farmhouse will be available (see Colorado blog for details). In the meantime while we get the horse facilities set up, Isabella will be staying in a boarding facility nearby fancier than anywhere I have EVER lived.
Inside her mind..
31 year old gal. Lives in Boulder, CO. Eats non-dairy powdered coffee creamer for fun. Surrounds herself with dogs, horses, friends, and one hot boy. (this is a temporary blogger template - stay tuned for major changes)

These wildfires in California are so tragic. :( It breaks my heart that so many people are losing their homes.
statelinetack.com and dog.com are offering to double your donation to offer supplies for evacuated animals.
I've been reading on the endurance boards of how friends have had to frantically gather their animals and leave everything else behind. Their home, their possessions, everything they considered theirs is now destroyed. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this devastation.
Take a look at this LA Times illustration of where the fires are hitting. They are just everywhere.. :(

#86 baby! Took me forever to break into the 100's. The scoring system makes absolutely no sense to me.. I mean, look at me (Junipertree) vs Miss Chris. I have an obviously better record than her and she's ranked above me?? Well, whatever. I'll break into the 50's soon.

How strange, Daly City, CA has made it out in the depths of internet fame by way of its Westlake district.
One of America's first master-planned postwar suburbs, Westlake was the "inspiration" for Malvina Reynolds' song "Little Boxes," which became a hit for folkie Pete Seeger in 1964 and which has recently been revived as theme music for the TV show "Weeds."
Wow, I've never even considered the neighborhood being strange. No stranger than the neighborhoods in SF. It's just another suburban town that I would rather cut my throat than reside in.
