American Idol Recap:

Chris - So cute. He got a few of my votes!

Melinda - Awesome. Can't say anything else, she's just perfect.

Phil - Is it just me or does he sound a lot like Phil Collins? I think his voice is really great and I'm glad he's still around.

Blake - So hot. He got lots of my votes!

Lakisha - The appeal is gone for me. Next!

Jordin - Every time she sings she makes me tear up! She's so good and evokes emotion through her songs very well. Love her.

Here's a wierd and funny sfgate article about a drunk man and his (very patient) horse. haha.

American Idol Recap: Now that the field has narrowed to 7 it's manageable enough for me to blog about. :)

Phil: Wow, this guy has a great voice. Too bad he looks like Uncle Fester. :( I don't think he'll last very long.

Lakisha: Horrible! It was really weird watching her sing 'Jesus take the wheel' by Carrie Underwood.

I don't remember the order for the rest...

Sanjaya: No words to say how utterly horrible he is. He makes an ass out of himself every time he opens his mouth! And for him to choose 'Something to Talk About', it was really not funny or good at all. How does it feel to be America's laughing stock? He should've bowed out a long time ago.

Jordan: Beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes.. I love her personality. She's too cute and has a great, distinctive singing voice. Vote x4

Chris: The judges don't like him but I still like him. I hope he isn't gone tonight. Voted x7

Melinda: So much more likeable when she discards the faux-surprise attitude. She did well last night.

Blake: My favorite! He didn't sound that great to me last night but the judges really liked his performance. Voted x10+

Yes, I'm a dork and I vote.

Copy of a play from the Virginia killer. It's just all over the place. Kid accusing his step-dad of molesting him, talk of pedophilia, rape, sex, mother going after the step-dad with a chainsaw. Finally it ends with the death of the boy. Crazy.

No words to describe how I feel about this tragedy. I heard on the radio this morning that people are saying this was an 'act of terrorism', not a 'tragedy' or 'massacre'. Terrorism is politically motivated. I don't believe this incident was politically motivated. He lived in the United States since 1992 - that's 15 years people.

I fear for the South Koreans at Virginia Tech that may now experience retaliation from narrow minded fools acting on nothing but emotion. This article says that they are gathering in groups because they are afraid.

This whole incident makes me angry. It makes me angry that the kid was South Korean. He was nothing but a selfish individual who cared nothing about the ramifications of his actions - immediate and over time. I'm sure S.Koreans all over the world are feeling disgrace for his actions yesterday.

My poor little blog. I've been neglecting you the past few weeks.

Lots have happened. I quit my job. Found another job. Got sick (twice). Those are the major events that have happened so far.. couldn't really write much about the interviewing process and such..

Today was the last day at my current position - I've been working at the same company for 3 years.. it was strange and sad saying goodbye. At Bayer I was laid off so I didn't have to go through the resignation process, but at my current job I felt like I was betraying people in a way by leaving. I know, I know.. I'm doing what's right for me and my career, but still. I made a lot of really good friends and will miss them...

So my current job is with a medical device company in Foster City. It's a small company (very small!) and will have a more startup feel I think, which I prefer. I'm excited to start - my first day is Monday. A bit scared as well - new environment, new people.

The next few days Matt and I will be taking off to relax.. tomorrow we're headed up to Santa Rosa, then Thursday - Saturday we're headed to the Sonoma Coast Villa and Spa for some nice pampering and relaxation. I can't wait! I've been debating whether or not to go for the massage or not.. I've still got bills to pay so I can't go all out. We shall see...

Today I went for a loverly ride on Isabella. We're still at a walk but today I took her up the mountain.. kicked her butt a little bit. I really missed riding her. When we're out there together there's a partnership that I feel with her that I don't get when I'm just taking care of her. Hard to describe..

Anyways, hopefully I'll update more often now that I can talk about what's been going on in my life. :)
