I'm dedicating this post to my good friend Merima, if for only the fact that I'm eating a gross, ripe banana, and she that she likes her bananas that way. I wish she lived closer so I could give all my ripe bananas to her.. *sigh* *gag*

I went on a cooking spree in our new kitchen this past weekend. Saturday night I recieved a fresh crop of lettuce from Isabella's ranch so we had a yummy crisp salad to go along with the meatloaf I made. Sunday was spent making butterscotch and white chocolate chip cookies with the new Kitchen-Aid mixer my mom bought for my brother (which I hope to steal one day) and later in the afternoon some banana-lemon cake with white chocolate sour cream frosting. Yumyum. I also made dinner last night for Matt, Mark, and Mark's new beau.. (pre)roasted chicken with broccoli and rice, fresh corn, and more salad. After all that I was pretty pooped and slept like a log last night.

China has been stinking something awful lately. I extruded her anal glands last night (which is about as gross as it sounds) and I wonder if this dog still loves me. I'd imagine it's not very comfortable having the shit squeezed out of your hoolio (literally). (Merima, I hope you liked this post dedicated to you!)

Matt and I eat out. A lot. This issue perplexes me and is probably to blame for this plateau in weight that I've been at for the past YEAR. I think it's our generation that is to blame for our need for convenience and laziness. That, combined with the fact that Matt's dad makes a lot of meals at home so whenever we're together we go out.

There really is no excuse now: I get fresh eggs from the ranch, sometimes fresh veggies if they have extra, I have a rockin' kitchen, and I just discovered my mom has ordered the "Freezer Loader" from the Omaha steak company which will consist of the following:
4 fillet mignon
4 sirloin supreme
6 gourmet burger
8 gourmet franks
4 pork chops
4 sole stuffed with scallops and crab

How much do you want to bet that all these yummy meats will still be in the freezer in a year? As much as I don't want to believe this will be true, I'm afraid that I would lose that bet. We have no excuse! There is a butcheria and a farmer's market store within walking distance, argh!

But when you can get cheap Chinese to stuff two people for $5 within a 10 minutes drive.. who can say no?

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Matt has threatened that he will not check my webpage religiously unless I start writing (and we can't have that, where will my 1 reader go??) so here I am.

Last night Matt, Mark and I went to cheap Japanese for one last unemployed meal for Mark before his big day at his new job today. We ordered TONS of cheap Japanese. 4 rolls, gyudon, soba and tempura, yumyum. This morning I awoke with a slight tummyache. Just a little bit. I put on my makeup, did my hair, then proceeded to sit down to empty my bladder. What I thought would be a simple deed turned out to be 30 minutes of some of the most excrutiating pain I've felt in a loooong time. I sweated, I gasped, I strained, I spewed out of every orifice of my body. I could not believe the agony I felt. At one point I had to lie down on the floor for some respite before going at it again. It was horrible.

Alas, my body turned back to normal and the rest of this morning has been spent traveling in slow motion.

For those of you guys out there in cyberland who haven't heard, we moved into the house this weekend. It's so wonderful having so much space. Mark is so grateful to have his own room and space (I guess he didn't like living in my garage) :) and I love having such a big living room and garden/backyard. I am so blessed! Matt helped out so much he rendered himself immobile the next few days and a bunch of people came over to help, which we really needed. It was really really hard having to move shit and clean everything up in one day. Merima, John, Laquel, and Amit worked their asses off to help us and I think we pulled off the impossible. I really don't understand how I leave behind so much hair and dust.. China? In any case, I've decided once we all start paying rent a weekly or biweekly cleaner may not be a bad idea.

No internet at home for a while.. I can check email on my phone but can't do much more than that. Gotta get traffic school done before August 17th. July 29th is the 50 miler down in Santa Cruz. Trying to get my intestines to feel normal again.

Here is the route I took Saturday morning with Isabella:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=287589

I would add 10% of the mileage for all the twist and turns that the map doesn't reflect.. all in all, not a bad ride in prep for our 50 miler at the end of this month. I'll check on her this afternoon to see how she's recuperating. The temp was fairly warm so she did tire out easier than up at Wild West. I got pretty burnt because I didn't wear my white long sleeve shirt I normally wear.. I also had my nifty new Garmin Forerunner 301 with me in the morning to keep track of her heart rate and our mph, but when I got to the barn it had run out of batteries! Poop.
