Be still my heart, a post!

I was quietly protesting my blog until I could get a decent ride account of the 3 day endurance ride I did over Memorial day weekend. Alas, that is getting to be around 4 weeks past and I'm still not past writing about the 1st day, so I've given up.

In between the ride and now I also went to Canada for a few days to spend some quality time with the family. It was so much fun.. fishing, ATVing, paint ballin', gondola riding.. it makes me want to do more yearly events with the folks. Pictures are at Andy and Lizette's site.

Lots of good things going on. Mark has moved into the garage, and sometime mid-July we're planning on switching living spaces with my landlord into the bigger 2 bedroom house. Moving will be a pain because it's not actually a full move, just a transfer of things about 15 feet.

Sunday was our 2 year anniversary! I'm happy to say I'm still head over heels in luuurve for my Matty. We spent the day looking for a place to eat breakfast in Santa Rosa while I fought my allergies, then ate dinner with Mark at Outback Steakhouse, sharing a 16 ounce prime rib dinner. MMmmmmm... :)

Isabella is doing well although she's got a pretty good case of windpuffs after a tough training ride 2 weeks ago. I gave her a week off then rode her again last night. She has a vet appointment Thursday morning with a well known endurance vet so I hope to get some of my questions answered with her.

Tonight I pick up ace for China.. July 4th is coming up which means the yearly struggle to squish her 100 pound body into the small 4" space between my bed and the floor will be coming up. Hopefully knocking her out this year will thwart her futile attempts.

That's all folks.
