I'm up in Santa Rosa right now spending Christmas eve with Matty's family. They bought a 7 foot xmas tree which we're going to decorate later. They're doing massive construction around their house so we have to sludge through the mud to get in the back door and last night China snuck in (actually I neglected to thoroughly wipe her feet) and left paw prints ALL OVER their wood floor. Good dog. :P

Matt's dad has an amazing menu for this evening. Lasagna (which he spent all day yesterday doing the pre-preparation) and black bottom pie (which Matt says IS TO DIE FOR). mmm.. can't wait.

I heard two pieces of unfortunate news from earlier on this week. Please send good thoughts to Mark and Lizette.. I'm glad I'll be driving down tomorrow to be with them.

Happy Christmas eve, everyone!

All I can say is thank GOD for end of the year bonuses, because I have a faaaaaaaat credit card bill ready to pay. In addition, I have another $600 bill for trailer maintenance which I'll be charging this afternoon. Hooray for 0% interest cards!

I almost peed my pants when I heard how much the trailer bill was going to be, but I guess if you consider I haven't taken the trailer in for yearly maintenance since 2000 when I purchased the trailer, it isn't too bad. The brakes were in really bad shape. Bad horsey mom!

Matt complains that I torture him all the time and he is grateful for when China is around so I can torture her. I love torturing China. Last night I was on the couch with her, propping her up on her butt with my feet. I kept doing this over and over and she finally got tired of me and went downstairs to take a break from me. hahaha!! When I have kids I will torture them, then Matt will finally be free from my torture attentions, since I will have plenty of other victims. I honestly can't wait!! wheee....

Not too much going on aside from being busy with work and holiday stuff..

Rajan and Paula's wedding reception was this past Saturday. They had a huge banquet hall reserved and there were tons of Indian relatives and friends and YUMMY Indian food.

Matt and I are finalizing our Christmas plans.. driving down to Santa Rosa Thursday or Friday (22nd or 23rd), driving back to Pacifica late Saturday night, getting up early on Christmas to drive to L.A., then opening gifts with the family and driving to the uncle's place for Christmas with the extended family. Whew. I've almost gotten all my xmas shopping done.. just need to buy one more thing for Mr. Matt which I have no idea..

Next Saturday will be our little gift exchange with the friends which will be at my place. I debating decorating the place but then when we went to Joann's Crafts I was disappointed at the lack of decor available.. so we just got little santa hats to wear instead. Mine says: I believe in Santa Claus. ;)

Went on a really nice ride on Isabella Saturday morning. We explored more trails and found this great little valley with a huge brussel sprout patch. Isabella felt really strong and spirited and gave me a few bucks to indicate she was feeling quite boisterous. I rode a friend's horse, Angel (her mom was out of town) for a short ride after putting Isabella away.. Angel is an 18 year old, highly trained western pleasure horse. Soooooo different than Isabella. It was pretty fun to ride a horse so different. Angel was like driving a big luxury vehicle.. Isabella is more like a zippy little sports car..

Best dance ever.

Can *you* do the Carlton? I think it should be renamed to the Rha family dance.

I did it! Yessiree, I watched a scary movie by myself. Not nearly as fun as watching it with some poor unsuspecting soul who I can grab at moment's scary notice, but it was fun nonetheless and I can now say that I saw Saw. I heard there was a twist at the end and I thought all along I knew what the twist was, but I must say, those clever movie makers did a good job at keeping it secret. I totally had no idea what was going to happen in the end, so it was a "nice" suprise considering the predictability of movies these days.

Now excuse me while I arm myself with the kitchen knife before I go downstairs to let China out for her evening pee..
