Just brought home China from her 2nd TPLO surgery.. she was doing so good after the partial tear last year, but over Christmas while out with the petsitter, she completely tore her "good" knee and was on 3 legs when we came home.

I found an board certified orthopedic surgeon in town with good reviews from the othro dog yahoo group, and they were able to get us in this week. It's amazing how much less of a nervous wreck I am the 2nd time around :) No crying in the waiting room or anything!

You would think having a 900 pound animal living out in a field would be more expensive, but no, it's the 80 lb lab living the life of luxury indoors that has $8000+ worth of work done in her hind end.. :P Although.. I'm having a rough time with Isabella's new trimmer.. her fronts were at 4 3/4" length and 45 degree when I came home after Christmas.. (she's 14.1 - 14.2) I knew her toes were long, but these measurements are RIDICULOUS! Hello navicular?? I'm giving the trimmer a 2nd chance - haven't been able to go out and see her since she was done earlier this week. Hopefully we can get her toes back soon, otherwise I'm nixing this gal and going with another who can stay on top of things.

The inflatable collar is too big so I'll have to switch her to the e-collar when we're not home..
