Just wanted to give another update on Button (aka Fred). She's doing good, we had her spayed earlier this week. She was actually showing minor signs of aggression (food and attention) towards China which we IMMEDIATELY nipped in the bud as not appropriate. She learned that quickly, but we decided to go ahead and get her spayed asap so hormones wouldn't have anything to contribute to it.

The spay was routine, nothing unusual.. however it's been a few days now and Fred is showing signs of false pregnancy! Milk leaking, a bit of a swollen belly, coveting and nuturing her toys.. I did a bit of research.. 8 weeks ago when we were up in Salida visiting her for the first time, she was in heat (ovulating).. and it's been 8 weeks later and her uterus/ovaries have been removed = no more progesterone, so now her body thinks she's preggers. Crash course in college animal reproduction!

Internet research recommends cutting her food/water so she thinks she's in starvation mode, but I definitely don't want to cut her water intake.. so dangerous, so I'll cut her food for 2 days to see if that helps.

The fun never ends! She is super cute but I'm slightly allergic and she has bad breath (but good teeth) so I don't cuddle too much with her.
