A few days ago, Matt and I were driving around running errands, and as usual we were chatting back and forth. I was and still am highly amused by the following conversation we had:
Matt: Shut up.
Julienne: No, you shut up.
Matt: No, shut up.
Julienne: I don't shut up, I grow up. And when I look at you I throw up. Then your mom comes around the corner and eats it up.
Matt: ...
Julienne: I just made that up!! HAHA!!
Matt: Really, because I remember EVERYONE saying that when I was in 4th grade..
Julienne: Uhm. Just kidding.
Nice cover up, eh? "Just kidding" is the ultimate cover up and can be used in any sort of context.
"You look tired. Just kidding"
"Your cooking is great. Just kidding"
"This is a great blog entry. Just kidding"
