Argh, I can't believe how high gas prices are right now. Today I paid $2.15/gallon for diesel! Diesel's supposed to be way cheaper.. what happened? Anyways, I filled up at the Shell station next to work. When I drove into the gas island (why is it called island?) and circled around, looking for the diesel pump. Couldn't find it. I see a truck weigh station along the side so I drive behind the convenience store and see the diesel pumps.. they're gigantaur sized meant for semi's and large transportation trucks. I pull into a free lane between two huge semi's. Wearing my skirt/tights and sandals from work I tried not to be too conspicuous in the truck diesel crowd as I went to fill up. Anyways, I stopped the pump when it got to $55. It still wasn't full. It was painful to pay that much.
