Julienne: What a crazy busy day! We met up with Wayne (who is a total hottie) and went shopping at Macy's and the Manhatten Mall. To get there, we joined a protest march that was walking along the street we needed to cross. I think we were the only asians in the group and probably the least-smelliest as well. I bought lots of very cute clothes and later on in the day, bargained with the Chinese people in Little Italy on a really nice purse. We went on the NY subway for the first time and saw rats in the railings.. they provide immense amounts of entertainment for bored passengers waiting for the train. The ride went pretty smoothly, aside from the fact we let the same train pass three times before we realized that was the train we needed to be on. Tomorrow we hit Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and the Met.

Mark: Like I said before, this place is devoid of all life... the only things that thrive here are pigeons, rats, roaches and... humans... i'm sure there's some deep meaning behind that, but blar blah blahb lbhafhsdfhsdhfsdf.

Something odd happened today... while walking with my family towards Time's Square, some lady standing net to me asked me "You're not from here, are you?" I replied "no I'm not..." She then said "You should be in China town. What are you doing here?" I replied cordially, "Well I'm visiting from..." But before I could explain I was from California, she said "You should be in 'The Village.' That's where your people are from." That's really racist. stupid old lady.

Fortunately, that old lady doesn't ruin my image of other old ladies of New York. Apparently, late at night, the walk and stop walking signs are shut off, so police manage the pedestrian traffic. So the police begin blowing on their whistles to stop traffic flow in one direction, and these old ladies are hurrying as fast as they can to cross the street. I hear the police men yelling "Come on, old ladies... come on ladies, move it!" Heheheheheh. That group of old ladies moved their butts off.

okay. that's it then.
