Well, for the past month and a half or so, I've been playing this game called Quake 3 Many modifications exist for this game including 'excessive' in which you start out with all weapons and 300 health. Bob and I have been playing this quite a bit now that the riding season is pretty much over in the evenings.. namely a game called 'Capture the Flag'. Now I have to say, over the few weeks I've been playing I think I've developed into a fairly decent player. There are different 'clans' out there which are teams that practice together and compete for the #1 rung on a Quake 3 Excessive CTF ladder. About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I was asked to join a clan which suprised me a bit. You have to be pretty good to join one. I had a clan in mind that I wanted to join but didn't think I was good enough. I was even asked by the #1 team to try out for their clan. Well, after a week and a half or so, I joined PR. The guys on the team are great.. really friendly and nice. They were also the #2 team on the board with some really AWESOME players. So when I play, you can see me by 'Akasha{PR}'.

Last night we had a match against BNB, the #1 team on the board. PR had a history of numerous losses against this team - they really have their act together, with strategies and different plays. I wasn't going to play at first but the server the match was going to be on caused some pretty bad lag for one of our players so I played 2 of the 3 matches on defense (which I'm good at). Anyways, I won't bore you with the details, but we won. Bob was watching over my shoulder and he was pretty nerveracked the entire time.. it was exciting! You can view the details of the match here. So my team's #1 now!

Bob is on a clan also, called FmmF. His team is off the ladder for now for some revamping of strategies/plays, but when they're back on, they're gonna kick everyone's ass. There are some amazing players on his team and they're going to be hard to beat.
