I'm back at work. I vowed to Bob never again will we commute on the two busiest holiday travel days of the year again. It took us about 7 1/2 hours to drive down on Wednesday with 3 stops, which wasn't too bad considering the amount of rain dumped on us as we were leaving.. but driving back, it took us 8 1/2 hours with two stops. It took us 45 minutes to just fill up and go through the Burger King drive-through at one point. It was HELL.

Got back, unloaded the car, said hi to all the critters, then settled in and kicked some ass playin' Q3. My bro needs to get a better computer.. I really sucked on his.

Can I tell you how freezing cold it is here?? When we drove into our townhome complex, everything was a mess.. leaves and dirt all over the streets, we must've had a good storm while we were gone. The thermometer read about 40 when I walked Blade at around 10:30 and it was even colder in our room. Bob bought a space heater for me when I had my surgery so I wouldn't get chilly, but that wasn't doin' nothin' to warm up our bedroom so Bob got the heater going (took him like an hour??). I think we finally fell asleep at about 1am. I woke up again in the middle of the night and it was about 90 degrees in our room. Turned off the heater and cranked open the window, then got up again and closed it once it got cold. So I didn't sleep well last night. But I'm happy to be home!!!!!
